AdrianGale

The secret Kivel Records doesn't want you to know about: The Original AdrianGale lineup was formed in 1999 and the group made their live debut performance at the Birch Hill Entertainment Complex, Freehold New Jersey, as a support act for the well known recording artist, "Warrant". Prior to this live performance, AJ Fedz along with Dino Castano, were solely working on a studio recording that was to be the AdrianGale debut CD on Kivel Records. At that point in time, Ed Campbell & Vic Rivera had not been recruited to the group yet, and subsequently, the two musicians joined the group (8) months after AJ Fedz signed his deal with the label and began recording the album.

Here is a concert ticket, for the 2nd live performance by AdrianGale, dated - June 16, 2000.  Take note of the band name misspelling on the ticket.

Kivel Records

The original incarnation of the group, featured band leader; AJ Fedz on lead vocals & lead guitar, Dino Castano on drums, Ed Campbell on bass & Vic Rivera on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. After several live performances as a group, AJ had a bad business experience with John Kivel, the record label owner, and it was AJ's gut instinct to cut the ties and part ways with Kivel Records, so he did. Meanwhile, AJ and Dino were in the middle of recording songs from AJ's catalog of material (what had been planned to be the first AdrianGale album). Furthermore, the debut album was also said to be titled, "Tango Down" another Kivel Records idea (not to be confused with the music group Tango Down).

The underling conflict of interest with Kivel Records and AJ Fedz, was the fact that Kivel Records owned the name AdrianGale and John Kivel proved 'once again' what a scoundrel he could be, by continuing to use the AdrianGale name, with a new group of musicians and songwriters. Or maybe John had a sheer lack of imagination and couldn't come up with a new band name to represent them? Whatever the case was at the time, it didn't interfere with AJ's vision.

With an album in the middle of production, AJ was forced to shop his ongoing project to several other record labels. After several months of submitting press kits to various US and European records labels, AJ wound up receiving interest from 'Escape Music' in England and 'Metal Mayhem Music' in Connecticut, USA. AJ quickly began negotiations with Ryan Northrop (owner of Metal Mayhem Music) and after numerous phone conferences, AJ signed a deal with the label and was prepared to deliver the goods.

Before AdrianGale's "Feel The Fire" there was a spark in New Jersey - what was originally to be AdrianGale's debut CD (released on Kivel Record) was released in December 2003 on Metal Mayhem Music - under the new band name Snakeryder.
